Crews are continuing to remove the remaining Mariposa Pedestrian Bridge foundation and clearing vegetation to prepare for construction of a 1,400-foot-long catchment wall. Work is also progessing on a shoring wall, which will be completed ahead of the catchment wall. The shoring wall will be constructed with soil nails to improve long term slope stability and reinforcement. These construction activities are expected to continue through mid-November.
Construction has also begun on a temporary bridge at the Mariposa Point beach access point. This bridge will allow crews to bring in construction vehicles, equipment and materials needed for ongoing work.
Work hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. No nighttime work is anticipated.
